Helen Leech has worked for five local authorities in the UK, and there’s not a lot she hasn’t done in public libraries, from running storytimes to managing a re-organisation. At one point, she even catalogued bricks. But throughout her career her key interest has always been in new technologies and the way that traditional library services translate into the online environment. She’s now a senior manager in Surrey Library Service, looking at the way libraries can use new tools to build a different relationship with customers, and focussing on the delivery of training around new technologies in partnership with #iamtheCODE.
